                            Barriers of Entry

I had to break the "Barrier's of Entry" if I could. The Klu Klux Klan was not the problem here. I have family members that are Klansmen(Klu Klux Klan). We broke that color barrier in 1915. In 1917 Marie Frazier was born. In 1921 a rift in Chesterfield, Missouri, USA; re-opned the "Color Barrier." In the 1960's circa 1967 O'Dark Thity (Henry Joseph Frazier) was granted passage by the local Klu Klux Klan in the dead of night. Henry Joseph Frazier "Pop" is/was the patriarch of O'Dark Thirty and Thirty-One. O'Dark Thirty was formed as thirty Grandchildren of Henry Joseph Frazier and Maggie Wash- Frazier the daughter of James "Randlett" Wash. The Klu Klux Klan said you forgot my son. I was given the title "Thirty-One". Thity-One has been with the Klu Klux Klan has been with for the last Fifty-three years. At times the Klan removes the barriers other times I am told they are impassible. Today 02/13/2022 the "Barrier of Entry" to Road America is impassible not impossible to move. Having photographed events at Road America in the past 2020 and 2021; I thought nothing was impossible or impassable. It is  truly a "Teachable Momment" during "Black History Month 2022". Tavvis Smiley calls it "Hiden Racism." I reply I have photographed here two years prior to this impass. I say "Hidden Agenda."

Highland Productions LLC has been in operation as an LLC since 2016. I formed the companyto help me enjoy my life and my love of photography. In the early days of Highland Productions LLC was with a group of my children; while we were visting Scotland. I was asked for a name of the photography company by Brad Pitt. I thought Highland Productions was a good name in the Highlands of Scotland. Brad Pitt thought I should chose another name. The whole group is not Scottish. No but I am; think of another name and the ones that are not my children can use that name. It has been a struggle for Highland Productions every since that day.

It has been 15 years or so since the inception of the Highland Productions name. The struggle to get assigments approved began. When trying to get assignment for my children we met resistance to our progress. Many of my children are successful media personalities today. At the time (circa 2006) the company needed to be accredited without having the experience; it seemed impossible. The "Barrier of Entry" were great in apperance; "Letter's of Assignment" were hard to obtain. Then it was family legacies that could not be surmounted. I told my children the "Barrier of Entry" was a color barrier. Virginia International Speedway offered my children passage through the impasse as well as a few scholarships.
